Volunteering with 3rd Farnham Scouts
Parents and carers
We do expect parents/guardians to contribute to running of the troop. We have quite a few parents who will turn up on the day (which is always welcome), but we are very much looking for those parents who are either:
- willing be leaders and join the movement
- help with some of the background tasks, such as being part of the executive committee.
Becoming a uniformed leader is the only way to circumvent our extensive waiting list. We require new leaders to commit to a minimum four year term and to undertake leader training. Being a leader is extremely rewarding so if you think you might have the skills please contact us for an informal chat.
Other volunteers
Scouting gives you the chance to be a part of something extraordinary. You'll help young people, learn new skills, and advance your education or career. But there's also plenty of fun to be had with exciting activities, new friends and lots of adventure.

CRB policy
Remember, if you want to camp overnight with your children on a scout camp, or help out on a regular basis, you need to submit a CRB form.
